۱- High-definition mapping tech company Ushr raises $10M Series A led by Forté Ventures; spun off from geospatial information management company GeoDigital to specifically target autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles; claims to have mapped all of the US and Canadian controlled access highway network with less than four inches deviation.

۲- Singaporean Bitcoin exchange and wallet company Luno raises $9M Series B led by Balderton Capital; in addition to consumer products, offers merchant services for banks and retailers; funding will facilitate expanding operations to 35 new European countries; raised almost $14M to date.

۳- Capsule8, a threat disruption product for cloud-native environments, raises $6M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners; plans to launch in general availability later this year; raised $8.5M to date.

۴- China-based logistics firm Best reduces the scale of its planned IPO, according to reports; the firm initially aimed to raise about $930M in a US IPO, offering roughly 62M shares at $13 to $15 each; Best now plans to raise as much as $495M, offering 45M shares at $10 to $11 each.

۵- France-based peer-to-peer lending platform Younited Credit raises $47.8M Series F from Eurazeo, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, and others; the service currently operates in France, Spain and Italy, and lets users arrange loans between $1.2k and $48k; raised more than $122M to date.

۶- London-based fintech startup GoCardless (YC S11) raises $22.5M Series D led by Accel with participation from Balderton Capital and others; the firm provides enterprise tools for recurring bank-to-bank transfers (aka direct debits); raised $47.3M to date.

۷- Roku plans to raise up to $252M at IPO, according to a new S-1 amendment filing; aims to sell 18M shares at the proposed maximum asking price of $14 each; the company initially indicated plans to raise $100M; Roku previously raised more than $200M in venture funding.

۸- AI-powered mobility company Jingchi raises $30M in angel funding and is in the process of raising $100M Series A; founded by Wang Jing, who previously led Baidu’s autonomous driving unit; the company completed its first test of an autonomous vehicle on a public CA road in June; funding will facilitate expansion of China operations.

۹- Computer vision company Matroid raises $10M Series A from NEA and Intel Capital; provides a web platform for custom video recognition systems; customers can train the software to recognize certain objects in images and video; currently targets security and media companies; some companies use Matroid to recognize when a company executive is on TV; raised $13.5M to date.
