۱- Slack

the popular workplace collaboration product – just raised $250 million at a $5.1 billion valuation, led by SoftBank Group Corp.’s Vision Fund. The fundraise comes after rumors over the past 18 months that Slack was fielding acquisition offers of more than $8 billion from Amazon and Microsoft.

۲- SoftBank

is set to purchase roughly $520M worth of shares in China-based online insurance firm ZhongAn as part of its IPO; ZhongAn is offering about 199M shares at a range of $6.87 to $7.64 each, with SoftBank agreeing to buy 72M; follows an earlier report that ZhongAn is seeking a valuation of $11B.

۳- Chile-base

fintech firm ComparaOnline raises $14M from Bamboo Capital Partners and International Finance Corporation; the firm provides price comparison tools for a range of financial products; raised $33M to date.

۴- Waze

and Spotify begin rolling out cross-app integration for iOS (previously available for Android); lets users access a music playlist within Waze, or launch traffic navigation from Spotify; users can also set music to autoplay when they launch Waze.

۵- Samsung

begins rolling out an update to let Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 users disable the Bixby hardware button; the settings toggle does not allow the button to be remapped; users can still access the assistant by swiping left on the screen.

۶- Amazon

to test one-hour delivery of items featured in Nicopanda’s London Fashion Week; available to local Prime customers, and will cost a premium on top of the subscription.

۷- Instagram

updates to autoplay audio for all organic videos once sound for one has been activated; autoplay will continue until manually toggled off, or the app is closed; audio will be shut off by default when users open the app.
